There are a number of residents associations consist of local residents called JICHI-KAI, in Ogaki City.

Joining a neighborhood association offers the following advantages
1 Residents help each other in the event of a disaster.
2 Neighbors watch will be organized to watch over children and to patrol the neighborhood.
3 You can take your house garbage to a nearby garbage station.
4 You can join cleaning activities to keep the community clean.
5 You can participate in community festivals.
6 You can get information about the community.

(1)Evacuation centers in times of disaster are maintained by the evacuees’ mutual cooperation.

(4)Pay attention to social etiquette where evacuees gather so that everyone can rest well and stay calm.

【9】Actions to Take in the Event of a Disaster
【When an earthquake strikes】
(1) Keep yourself safe.
Stay under a sturdy desk or table and wait until the quake subsides.
(2) Turn off open flames and shut the main gas valve.
After the quake subsides, turn off the cooking stove, gas burner, fan heater, and main gas valve. Unplug electric al appliances.
(3) Secure an exit.
Open the entrance door and windows to secure an exit.
【When a flooding occurs】
(1) Get updates from the TV, Internet.
Pay special attention to the latest track for the typhoon, the amount of rainfall.
(2) When an evacuation advisory is issued, take action immediately.
As soon as evacuation instructions are announced in your area, take emergency evacuation bag and go to the evacuation center.

〇Prepare an emergency bag to carry necessities and valuables in case of an emergency. See the list below and start preparing the items.
●Items to be stocked
〇To prepare for disaster, store food, drinking water at home, a minimum of 3 day-worth, so you can manage while electricity, gas, water are stopped.

もらえるお金（かね）／こども1人（ひとり）につき　10,000円（えん）

◎申込（もうしこみ）の　方法（ほうほう）
・申込（もうしこみ）が　必要（ひつよう）な　人（ひと）には、申請書（しんせいしょ）＜＝申込（もうしこ）みの　紙（かみ）＞を　1月（がつ）の　終（お）わりごろに　送（おく）ります。封筒（ふうとう）などで、出（だ）して　ください。

◎次（つぎ）の人（ひと）は、申込（もうしこみ）が　いりません。申請書（しんせいしょ）も　送（おく）りません。
・12月分（がつぶん）の児童手当（じどうてあて）を　もらった人（ひと）
・昨年（さくねん）に「夏休（なつやす）み　応援金（おうえんきん）」を　もらった人（ひと）

◎申込（もうしこみ）の期限（きげん）
・2024年（ねん）5月（がつ）31日（にち）

大垣市（おおがきし）では 外国人市民（がいこくじんしみん）のために、 ゴミ出（だ）し、子育（こそだ）て などの 生活（せいかつ）に 役（やく）に立（た）つ 情報（じょうほう）を のせた 「外国人市民（がいこくじんしみん）の ための くらしの ガイドブック」を、ポルトガル語（ご）、中国語（ちゅうごくご）、英語（えいご）、「やさしい日本語（にほんご）」で 作（つく）っています。

(1)じしんや こうずいの ときに にげる ところ
(=避難所(ひなんじょ))を たしかめましょう。
(2)じしんで 家具(かぐ)が たおれない ように しましょう。
(3)じしんや こうずいで 家(いえ)の なかが あぶなく なるかも しれません。
にげるときに 必要(ひつよう)な ものを 用意(ようい)しましょう。
■じしんや こうずいに そなえて 家族(かぞく)で たしかめること
●避難所(ひなんじょ)
○避難所(ひなんじょ)は、じしんや こうずいで 家(いえ)の なかが あぶない ときに にげる ところです。
○家(いえ)から 近(ちか)い 避難所(ひなんじょ)を 家族(かぞく)で たしかめましょう。
●連絡(れんらく)する方法(ほうほう)
○じしんや こうずいの ときは 電話(でんわ)が つながらないことが あります。家族(かぞく)で 連絡(れんらく)する 方法(ほうほう)を きめて おきましょう。
○じしんや こうずいの ときには、「災害用(さいがいよう)伝言(でんごん)ダイヤル　 171」で 連絡(れんらく)できます。
〇携帯(けいたい)電話(でんわ)の 会社(かいしゃ)も、じしんや こうずいの ときに、メッセージを あずかる サービスを しています。くわしい ことは、携帯(けいたい)電話(でんわ)の 会社(かいしゃ)に ききます。
●家(いえ)の 中(なか)の点検(てんけん)
○冷蔵庫(れいぞうこ)や 大(おお)きな家具(かぐ)は、じしんで たおれると あぶないです。「Ｌ型(がた)金具(かなぐ)」や 「支(ささ)え棒(ぼう)」などで、たおれない ように します。
○テレビや 花(か)びんなど 重(おも)いものは、じしんで、落(お)ちると あぶないです。 高(たか)いところに 置(お)かないように します。
○じしんで、窓(まど)ガラスが われて、落(お)ちてくると、あぶないです。「飛散(ひさん)防止(ぼうし)フィルム」を はり、落(お)ちないように します。
●非常(ひじょう)持(も)ち出(だ)し品(ひん)
○「非常(ひじょう)持(も)ち出(だ)し品(ひん)」は、ぜったいに ひつような ものを ひなんじょに 持(も)っていきます。いつも 用意(ようい)して おきます。
●備蓄品(びちくひん)
○「備蓄品(びちくひん)」は、電気(でんき)・ガス・水道(すいどう)などが とまった ときに、家(いえ)で3日間(かかん)くらい すごす ことが できる ように じゅんび しておく ものです。
